MHC awarded 'Employer of the Year for Health and Social Care 2007 - 2008'

Awards CeremonyThe Welsh College of Horticulture, Northop,  hosted it's first annual workbased learning awards ceremony on Thursday 16th October 2008,  to celebrate the achievements and successes of individuals and companies throughout Wales and England.  The awards, presented by Vivienne Martin consisted of three categories each containing both a learner and employer of the year award.

New Ward at New Hall Independent Hospital

New HallClwyd Ward at New Hall Independent Hospital in Ruabon, Wrexham has been redeveloped into an eight bed Intensive Nursing Support Ward.

The new ward at the male-only hospital, which is registered to admit adults with a functional mental illness and mild learning disability, is a locked door service.

Cedar Activity Centre, Highfield Park

Example of work produced at Cedar Activity CentreThe Cedar Activity Centre was opened in January 2007 and is successfully managed by Nicole Mitchell.  The aim of the centre is to offer a wide variety of easily adapted, socially inclusive, fun activities on and off Highfield Park. 

Coed Bach Occupational Therapy Centre

Coed Bach Occupational Therapy CentreCoed Bach is a purpose built Occupational Therapy Centre which was officially opened by Eleanor Burnham, AM in January 2007.
